  • How does the process work?
    Our specialists are dedicated to understanding your housing requirements and preferences to secure a room that suits you perfectly. Subject to availability and adhering to health and safety protocols, you may opt for a virtual or on-site tour of the premises. Following this, our team will provide personalized assistance throughout the application and lease signing stages, ensuring a smooth and informed transition for you.
  • What does the application process consist of?
    All candidates must submit documents for a background check and demonstrate financial capability to cover rental costs. Upon receipt and approval of these documents, we will initiate the lease procedure. Additionally, we offer a voluntary introduction to potential housemates before beginning the leasing formalities.
  • What does the background check examine?
    Domestic applicants now have the option to conduct their background checks online. Previously, this process was managed by an external company and incurred a fee of $30. The background check encompasses an assessment of credit, criminal records, and past evictions.
  • Are there any specific income or credit requirements?
    Our team collaborates closely with each applicant to gain a comprehensive understanding of their unique financial and credit situation before reaching a decision on their application. Following the background check, we might request additional documentation to ensure that applicants meet the specific standards set for each property.
  • Do you accept cosigners on the membership?
    Yes, co-signers are accepted, however rooms are single occupant only.
  • Can I see the house in-person?
    In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, our operations transitioned to a fully virtual format in February 2020, prioritizing the health and safety of prospective applicants, existing members, and our team. We are actively exploring safe methods to reintroduce in-person tours of our properties. Stay tuned for further updates!
  • How can I find out more about the housemates in the Hyve homes?
    Our team is well-acquainted with every resident, offering personalized insights into the home's ambiance. Furthermore, incoming housemates provide a brief biography, which we make available to you, ensuring a glimpse into the household's dynamic.
  • If I'm not located in area of the home, can the leasing process be done virtually?
    Absolutely! You can experience the entire rental process from start to finish right from your sofa. High-resolution images and comprehensive 360-degree virtual tours provide an in-depth view of the home, ensuring you don't miss a thing. Moreover, background verification, lease agreements, and payments are all facilitated through secure online platforms for your convenience.
